In recognition of his unusual and outstanding contributions to psychological sciences, Ramadhar Singh was elected a Fellow of the British Psychological Society (1992), American Psychological Association (1993), Association for Psychological Science (1993), Society of Personality and Social Psychology (1993), and Singapore Psychological Society (1993). Further, he was included among 50 prominent global social psychologists who described their one most important but unloved research in a volume edited by Robert Arkin of the Ohio State University (The Oxford University Press, New York, 2011). Thus, what seemed unloved until 2011 led to Singh’s inclusion in the websites on Faces and Minds of Psychological Science (2013) and Top Thinkers in Mind, Brain, and Behavior (2015).
At the national level, Singh received the Psychology National Award (1990) and the Sir J. C. Bose Memorial Award (2014), and got featured among the Legends of HRD in the Business Manager: HR Magazine (2015). In 2008, the National Academy of Psychology (NAoP), India also honored him by electing its Fellow. His interview on Sustaining Impactful Multidisciplinary Contributions over Five Decades by Kulbhushan Balooni, Director-in-charge of the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode is published in the IIMB Management Review (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.iimb.2017.03.009).
